They are raised on pasture and animal welfare approved. We use only the best possible products from local sustainable sources, when they are available.
My passion for preparing great food started when I was young. As the middle child of four boys, I spent a lot of time in the kitchen helping my mom cook enough food to keep up with four growing boys. This is where I began learning about flavor profiles and the unique combinations that make great food exceptional. My dad also played a solid role in my love for grilling. He would get out the old, red charcoal Weber Grill and spend some of the weekend cooking steaks, pork loins, and even crab legs on the Weber. Preparing great food and sharing it with my family and friends is part of my everyday life.
My wife, Heather, and I — along with our two children — moved from Denver, Colorado back to Heather’s hometown of Rainsville in July of 2015, Roadside ‘Que became a reality in October 2015.
We have a variety of delicious, locally crafted beers and flavorful wines.
Our meat products are Non-GMO, Antibiotic Free, and Pasture and Animal Welfare Approved. We use only the best possible products from local sustainable sources, when they are available.
St Louis Style Pork Ribs smoked for 6 hours over hickory hardwoods.
Pulled pork shoulder, smoked low and slow for 15 hours over hickory hardwoods until it literally falls apart.
Slow cooked hickory smoked wings, served with our special Bama white sauce, for a unique local favorite.
Sliced Brisket smoked low and slow for around 15 hours over hickory hardwoods.
Pasture-raised and non-GMO, are cooked whole in the smoker, bringing you exceptional tenderness and flavor.
We cure our fresh local hams in-house and smoke for 10 hours finishing with a honey glaze.

BBQ done right starts with quality, locally sourced meats. We hand select spices that amplify the flavor of our meats and simply smoke them slow and low over strictly hickory embers. That’s it. We don’t use microwaves, propane, or pre made sauces. We are just a family with a smoker making simply awesome food with love. We think you’ll notice a difference.
